The Cochrans are Growing!

We are so happy to announce the (early) arrival of Levi Bradley Cochran, as the newest member to join our family!

Levi was born on Monday, November 19 at 5:28 p.m.  After a very fast labor and delivery, we were beyond excited to get to hold our little 5 pound 11 oz. bundle of joy!  Although he was 5 weeks ahead of schedule, Levi apparently had decided he was not going to miss Thanksgiving dinner this year.  Because of his immaturity, Levi has had to spend a week in the NICU to learn proper eating skills.  We expect to be able to bring him home this week and are anxiously awaiting that day!

Watch Baby Cochran Grow!

Finally...some belly pictures for your enjoyment!

We're now looking at Christmas Day for our ETA on Baby Cochran,
and getting more anxious and excited every day!

First Family Snow!

                                           HaPpY HaLlOwEeN!
It sure feels like we jumped from summer ---> winter fast, doesn't it?  Last Friday I was enjoying dinner on the deck outside with friends, and yesterday we had our first Snow Day of the school year!  This is the morning's remnant of the "blizzard" that Hurricane Sandy left in its wake (I didn't think to get a picture yesterday...it was MUCH prettier).  I'm not sure what our total accumulation was, but Drew and I sure enjoyed getting to spend the day curled up in the living room watching movies and being lazy--our first Snow Day together  =)

Best of the U.S...Here we come!

Well, we've registered and the hotel reservations have been made.  The Cochran's are officially making their first vacation as a family to Chicago, Illinois next June!

Drew spent an extremely dedicated year training for and racing in triathlons up and down the East coast. As a result of his hard work, his time scores and placements earned him an invitation to compete in the "Best of the U.S." national triathlon race. The race takes place June 2, 2013.

We're planning on taking advantage of this incredible opportunity to see my side of the family (spread throughout Illinois) and to sight-see a bit in Chi-town.  Drew's never had a chance to see the Windy City, and I'll be happy to show him around!  It will be Levi's first trip across the country, as well--my family back home will be itching to meet him for the first time!  Let's keep our fingers crossed that we'll survive the car ride...

*GO TEAM COCHRAN!*
